Itinerary:

Day 1

Arrive at Edinburgh or Glasgow Airport and be welcomed by a Links Club representative who will assist you with the rental car and get you to your first destination or introduce you to your driver. Travel to the five star Gleneagles Golf Hotel and Resort.  After lunch, you will play the Queen’s Course.  This is the shortest of the three courses but has the hardest front nine holes of the entire resort.  The Links Club recommends that you take your dinner in the Dormy House after your round of golf.

Day 2

Make sure not to miss out on the fantastic breakfast before your round of golf. You can walk to, and make use of, the excellent practice facilities.  This will be followed by your round on James Braid’s world famous King’s Course.  After your round of golf, there is an opportunity to enjoy the spa at Gleneagles (spa treatments should be booked in advance) or play an evening round on either the King’s or Queen’s.

Day 3

Today you will travel to Muirfield on the east coast of Scotland to play the course that hosted the 1973 Ryder Cup.  Muirfield is regarded as one of the greatest links courses in the world and this is an opportunity for you to experience this challenging course layout that will host the 2013 Open.  The lunch at Muirfield is not to be missed.  After your lunch, you will return to Gleneagles.

Day 5

Travel to Kingsbarns golf links where you will play one of the most popular golf courses in Scotland with stunning views back towards St Andrews.  On completion of your round, you’ll return to St Andrews to discover the unique experience of the most famous golf destination in the world.

Day 6

You can walk to the world famous Starter’s Box on the Old Course for your final round of golf.  Only three minutes from your hotel, this is an opportunity to take in the excitement of your forthcoming round on the most famous course in the world.  At the end of your round of golf, you can retire to the Dunvegan and celebrate.
