The Castle Course is the St Andrews Links Trust’s 7th golf course in its portfolio. It is seen by some as the odd one out in the St Andrews Links golf family as it is not a traditional links golf course. The course is routed in two loops of nine, moving away from the coastline but returning to finish with three holes strung out along the impressive coastline for both the front and back nine. The feature hole of the course is the exciting par 3 17th played across a ravine on the edge of the cliffs usually into a strong westerly wind. Exciting and with a spectacular view, it is a great way to finish a round of golf on an interesting golf course.
